My children came across this fresh scattering of Northern Flicker feathers while exploring in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We were left with wonder at both the beauty of the patterns and also, the mystery. Just an hour before the feather's weren't there... Hawk? Bobcat? Mink? Another art-inspiring discovery made while exploring the outdoors.

Lost Feather Studio is a small independent art studio located in Madison, WI. As both an artist and a naturalist my inspiration grows from my love and respect for our natural world. Every weekend brings new delight as we find heart-shaped lichens, hear an owl call, or find tiny baby toads hiking the trail with us. Just as sunlight feeds an Oak Tree, the Oak Tree feeds my soul.
